Diminishing Qualities

This part sculpture, part typography piece was inspired by my understanding of Kenya Hara’s piece, Designing Design. The writing touches on the subject of technology and how the over-saturation of it can defeat its purpose to be helpful. Comparing it to a tool such as clay, Hara suggests that adding more and more complexities to technology will make it lose its integrity and original usable “consistency.” As the clay becomes less readable, so does the type.
